Eye & Body Break ("the Extension") is developed by Beijing Zhuao Science And Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Extension.
The Extension is designed to operate entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Specifically:
All Extension data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage.local API. This includes:
This data never leaves your device and is automatically cleared if you uninstall the Extension.
If you upgrade to Pro, your license key is validated entirely on your device using a cryptographic checksum. No network requests are made to verify licenses — the Extension works fully offline.
All payments are handled securely by Creem, our third-party payment processor. When you upgrade to Pro, you interact directly with Creem's secure checkout page. We do not receive or store your payment details (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.).
Please refer to Creem's Privacy Policy for information about how they handle your payment data.
The Extension requests the following permissions, and here's exactly why:
| Permission | Why It's Needed |
|---|---|
alarms | To schedule hourly break reminders |
storage | To save your settings and break stats locally |
notifications | To show system notifications when no browser tab is focused |
scripting | To inject the full-screen break overlay into your current page |
tabs | To find your active tab for displaying the break overlay |
<all_urls> | To inject the break overlay on any page you're viewing. This is required because Chrome extensions must declare host permissions for script injection. |
The Extension is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
